Current valid version: China Hazardous Chemical Inventory 2015
On 9 March 2015, The Catalog of Hazardous Chemicals (2015) has been officially published, which was prepared by The State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS), The Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT), The Ministry of Public Safety (MPS), The Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), The Ministry of Transport (MOT), The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), The National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), The Railway Administration of China (RAC) and The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
There are 2828 entries have been included in this inventory. Catalog 2015 will enter into force on 1 May 2015 and replace hazardous chemical catalog 2002 accordingly.

Old Inventory Version: Version 2002, Draft version 2013.
It has been 11 years since Hazardous chemical inventory (Catalog of Hazardous Chemical) version 2002 has been published on 24 February 2003. The final version 2015 has been modified based on draft version 2013 and deliberated for 2 years. Draft version 2013 has been published on 28 September 2013, which includes 3834 entries and criteria for determining hazardous chemicals. A general compare has been listed as follows:

Compared to Draft version 2013, the final version (2015) deleted approximately 100 chemicals and keeps the determination criteria unchanged. Please find following criteria for your reference.
Criteria of Classification of Hazardous Chemical in China
1. Physical Hazard
Explosives: Unstable explosives, Division 1.1-1.4;
Flammable gases: Category 1-2, chemically unstable gases Category A, B
Aerosols: Category 1
Oxidizing gases: Category 1
Gases under pressure: Compressed gas, Liquefied gas, refrigerated liquefied gases, Dissolved gas;
Flammable liquids: Category 1-3;
Flammable solids: Category 1-2;
Self-reactive substances and mixtures: Type A, B, C, D and E;
Pyrophoric liquids: Category 1;
Pyrophoric solids: Category 1;
Self-heating substances or mixtures: Category 1-2; Substances and mixtures which in contact with water emit flammable gases: Category 1-3;
Oxidizing liquids: Category 1-3;
Oxidizing solids: Category 1-3;
Organic peroxides: Type A, B, C, D, E, F;
Corrosive to metals: Category 1;
2. Health Hazard
Acute toxicity: Category 1-3;
Skin corrosion/irritation: Category 1A, 1B, 1C, Category 2;
Serious eye damage/eye irritation: Category 1, 2A, 2B;
Respiratory or skin sensitisation: Resp.sens 1A, 1B, Skin sens 1A, 1B;
Germ cell mutagenicity: Category 1A, 1B, Category 2
Carcinogenicity: Category 1A, 1B, Category 2;
Reproductive toxicity: Category 1A, 1B, Category 2, additional (effects on/via lactation);
Specific target organ toxicity - single exposure: Category 1-3;
Specific target organ toxicity - repeated exposure: Category 1-2;
Aspiration hazard: Category 1;
3. Environmental Hazard
Hazardous to aquatic environment - acute toxicity: Category 1-2;
Hazardous to aquatic environment - chronic toxicity: Category 1-3;
Hazardous to the ozone layer: Category 1;
