European Union revised the maximum residue levels for atrazine in/on certain products and use of Steviol glycosides (E960) as Sweetener in mustard

23 March 2016, European Union released the latest Official Journal, in which several regulations had been revised. Amended regulations include Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 and Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008.

Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/440 states the amending of Annexes II, III and V to regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for atrazine in or on certain products. The column for atrazine in Annexes II and III is deleted. Some column for atrazine is added in Annex V, as following table shows:

This amending regulation will take into effect after 13 October 2016.

Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/441 states the revision of Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the use of Steviol glycosides. The maximum limit of Steviol glycosides as sweetener in mustard is amended to 120 mg/kg.

This regulation shall take into effect on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
