On November 14-15, 2018, the 16th Cosmetic & Perfume Congress was successfully held in Chartres, France. The conference was hosted by the French Cosmetic Valley, co-organized by Chartres metropole and hosted by ABE (Advanced Business Events).
CIRS participated as one of the top ten sponsors and set up exhibitions. The association has a history of fifteen years since its inception. This year, there were 568 delegates attended the 16th Cosmetic & Perfume Congress , covering all areas of the cosmetics industry, including cosmetics regulatory affairs manager, chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and research and development team, formula labs, toxicologists, quality, technology, marketing managers, pharmacists, etc.
April Guo, manager of personal care division of CIRS Group, Brenda Lou, cosmetics regulatory consultant of CIRS Group, and Brian Fitzpatrick, cosmetic regulation consultant of CIRS Europe, participated the congress.
The meeting lasts two days: the first day focused on the latest cosmetics regulations in the EU. Experts conducted in-depth discussions on the EU's risk assessment of packaging contact materials and the challenges of preservatives in cosmetic applications. In addition, it also interprets the technical guidelines for cosmetic claims and efficacy testing, the impact of European cosmetics regulations on innovation.
On the second day, experts discussed regulatory updates on nano and botanical cosmetic materials, toxicological analysis, and the impact of finished products and raw materials on European companies. In the afternoon, the focus was on the update of China's import non-special filing system and how companies should respond to this new policy. April Guo had an in-depth discussion with experts.
