On 29 June, 2022, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) opened public comment for Leuconostoc pseudomesenteroides. The deadline for public comments is 29 July, 2022.

  1. Applicable scope: fermented milk, cheese, fermented milk beverage and Lactobacillus drink
  2. Approved as edible microbe. The scope of use does not include infant and young children food.
  3. Food safety indicators should conform to relevant Chinese standards.
