On March 15, 2023, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) issued three new food contact substances passing the technical review of the CFSA Expert Review Committee and now open for public comments. The deadline for public comments is April 10, 2023.
I. Food contact additives for Expanded Use (two types)

II. New food contact resin (1 type)
1) β-Alanine, N-(2-aminoethyl)-, monosodium salt, polymer with 1,4-butanediol, 1,6-diisocyanatohexane, 1,3-diisocyanatomethylbenzene and hexanedioic acid

Remark | The shelf life of the substance is six months in the storage environment of 10-30 ℃. Adhesives that are produced by this substance as raw materials can be used for filling and long-term storage at room temperature and below (including hot filling and pasteurization under the condition of T≤70 ℃, t≤2 h or T≤100 ℃, t≤15 min). The above-mentioned restricted requirements shall be marked in accordance with GB 4806.1. |
